Many big companies collect your data and use your data against you and from your data these companies earn lots of money.
For example, Go to the big website like Amazon, Flipkart, so on and select any product and click on add to the kart and close the site (I don't say you to buy the product). Then when you use social media or doing browsing then you see the ads of that product.
For that's the reason Tim Berner introduced new internet called solid net. :-) He invented the world wide web (www) in 1995 and he is still alive. He made it into thinking that I created something that allows us to share any information freely but it's not like that.
So that's the reason Tim Berner planning to create a new internet where no one can store or save your data and you store your own data itself. Its name is solid net and he also introduced solid pods.

Now talk about what is the concept of Solid Net and Solid Pods - You read a news on the Internet, surfing, downloading, sharing, all the data will be saved in your pod. Pod can be an encrypted segment of your data on your computer from which no one can take your data. The data you are uploading or downloading is all the data stored on your computer, it says the concept.
